[choice] CLK BS vs 997tt vs M6 convertible
CLK63 BS would be my choice and I am not a Benz guy at all (just don't find the M6 very attractive)
The 997TT while a phenominal car just isn't DD'able IMO. I tried to DD my former 997S and it just didn't work. It's loud, cramped and has virtually no room (talking about golf clubs, drycleaning, etc.). Oddly enough I found my Z06 much better as a DD than any of my Porsches (less road noise and far more space).
As someone else has mentioned, have you considered the GT-R?

Of course there is some lack of space in 997tt. Have you tried to use roof rail transportation system?
I don't like gt-r's. We have many of them in Russia. I can imagine having modified one as a toy or racing equipment, but not the stock one as a daily driver...
You don't find m6 attractive because of it's exterior, interior, or tech specs?

Roof racks belong on Station Wagons and SUV's, not on sports/GT cars. Plus, no one is going to stick drycleaning or golf clubs on a roof system. Just my opinion.
The GT-R is a love it or hate it.....I understand.
As I stated earlier, I personally feel that the M6 is a gentlemans 2+2. The ride and front seats are excellent. Especially in heavy traffic and long trips, over 200 miles. Absolutely no fatigue. That being said, I would not track it or put it up against a 997tt or Black MB.
I would. The M6 is nice on the track. Remember, it doesn't come with R-comps like the CLK Black. I don't like the abrupt shifting of the SMG (but still better than the auto of the Black or a Tiptronic), and the suspension is a tad soft, but it's a stout car.
Of course a convertible ruins all that for me.

Maintaince
My M6 has full service maintaince included with the warranty. My 997tt does not have free maintaince, however the cost for routine service-oil changes, is not that bad. I have 20k on the 997tt and have not yet had to change the spark plugs. This, I am not looking forward to. Additionally, the M6 tires are still originals. I have gone thru 2 sets on the 997tt.
As far as pure, unadulterated enjoyment, I hate to say it but I feel the Black series actually ousts the porsche. I have never driven a car that has quite the handling dynamic the black does...with the torque...and the sound...and the displacement...and the brakes...and the...oh, well you get the point. The black really offers EVERYTHING in a ready to drive package that can handle horrific traffic or a track day... Quite frankly, it is the BEST car I have ever owned for the road. I have never been so thrilled.
And fwiw, I have had a 996 gt3, 996tt, e46 m3, e60 m5, z4m coupe, audi rs6, s8 and still roll in a r8 from time to time (ehem, the cup car doesnt quite count for this comparo lol). So when I say its the best, its really in good company

Sorry Drew but, it has and AUTOMATIC!!!!!
It's even a stretch to call it the best street car (for an enthusiast) with an automatic in it. A low revving auto will never touch a high revving manual in visceral feel. And it still drives like a Mercedes which has NEVER had a sporty feel to any car.
Oh and the steering is ultra-super numb. Like you sat on your hands for 20 minutes before you started driving.
As far as a non-involving street car that's fast, it's a great car. But let's not get carried away here.
