[choice] CLK BS vs 997tt vs M6 convertible

I am planning to move to LA for a couple of years and the following cars seem to be the most interesting for me to buy for this period of time. I am looking for a daily driver + track about once a month + traveling once a month (ski resorts, Vegas, etc.). For some reasons I can't go for two cars, so SUV+trackcar is not an option in my case.

I am a Porsche fan and I already have two 911 in Europe. But I believe that CLK BS is an awesome car as well. M6conv also looks as not a bad choice for my list of purposes.

I understand that all of these cars are different but I'd like to hear some pros and cons from you guys, especially your comparative experience about these exact models.

If you plan to track the car the 911 is the only choice!

Actually, the BL is very trackable. Better car in traffic as well, unless you go w/ a tip which is something I would never do w/ a Porsche.

Price range is 80,000 - 100,000$

The only convertible in my list is M6.

I am thinking about 997tt coupe. I prefer manual, but I don't know how realistic is to drive it in LA traffic so maybe it is reasonable to talk only about tiptronic.

With that range you could definately find a 997tt tip. in mint condition Unless u prefer manual which i don't recomend going around the 405 mid day in LA ! other wise the 997tt is an all around car you could track it and show of infront of a club and be in the top list with it ;P .. u'll love the tt just put in consideration that the new 6 series is totally diffrent while the 997tt just minor facelift .. CLK to be honest is not my type of car to be compared to the 997tt IMO ..

This is a no-brainer. We work on and tune all of these cars, as such I have extensive time in all of them.

The CLK63 BS is the winner hands down.
  • Rare - you will see hundreds of M6's or 997TT's
  • Reliable - it will never be in the shop while you have it
  • Resale - it will hold its value better then the others from this point on
  • Police - it will draw less attention with the MBZ star from the CHP and local police
  • Performance - it will run circles around a 997 (all but GT3RS) on the street or track
  • Traffic - it will be more comfortable in LA traffic than the others

How do you figure? The CLK BS will kill any 911 except the RS at any of the local tracks. (ask me how I know! )

For that price, you should consider a CLK63 that we built that has ALL the goodies!

It is located in Vegas and is For Sale.

If you want stock, there are many examples in or below that price range.

Feel free to contact me direct to discuss this even further.

thanks

Its simple the fastest daily driver/track car of the bunch is the 997TT.

The 997TT will kill both CLK BS and M6 on the track absolutely no doubt.

here it is the BS on the track... so I have seen it and won't go into it too much but it won't match a 997TT.

The 997TT is a better around the track absolutely no doubt...

specially in 700hp form...

No photo of M6 but trust me is no match to the 997TT on the track.

Its simple the fastest of the 3 on road and on track is the 997TT, if you like something else that is different but the fastest all around is the 997TT and perhaps the most rewarding too

Both the CLK BS and the 997tt are amazing cars, you will be happy with anyone of them. If I have to chose one, i will go with the CLK
