Sway Setting Confusion

I just read in Road and Track (I think) that the new TT drives more like a rear wheel drive car because Porsche has the sways set at harder in front and softer in rear than the prior model. This seems to be the opposite of what I have been reading. Any thoughts?

I think that R&T is an excellent magazine to pass the time in the bathroom...

lol. The AWD system works differently especially if the car is outfitted with PTV.

R&T expresses opinions based on a few hours driving time, at most. I would take them with a grain of salt.

I personally prefer a more aggressive rear sway bar setting on AWD cars because it helps bring the **** around and the front wheels pull you through. My driving style though

They probably got that from Porsche, who said the same thing about the 997.1 from the 996 TT. But the sways in the front have been thicker than the rear however that makes for more understeer.

The PTV has the ability to hit the brake of the front wheel on the turn-in (left wheel on a left turn) side to get the car to rotate. It's a bunch of doo-dads.

From Porsche: PTV is able to improve steering response and steering precision significantly by specific braking of the right or left rear wheel.
