Hi 6speeders,
After hunting for months I found the car I wanted - 2007 911 Turbo 6MT in Speed Yellow. Got it with 24k miles, I guess the only 'option' might be Sport Chrono.
It took a while to find the right one but it was worth it.
Enough chatter... I wanted to try to get professional shots done but didn't have the time so these come from a little point and shoot camera:

I was never originally into yellow, but I saw a yellow 997 Carrera one day and couldn't take my eyes off it. I am done owning black/dark cars in Florida. I also have a custom-ordered carbon black 2006 M3 SMGII that looks great about 1 day a month, the day it is washed -- then it rains. I also figured if I'm buying a TT, may as well get a wolf in wolves clothing and give up on being inconspicuous
I am probably shipping the M3 to Orange County where I fly out for work a good bit and can't wait to make the haul up to Laguna Seca.
I did a lot of research here before I bought it, got a feel for price, warranty, etc... Decided I really wanted a CPO car with about average or slightly below average mileage. I was searching since January to find the right one, they are tough to find when you're hunting for a particular color. I found high mileage cars, really low mileage cars, tips... when this one came up I jumped on it. Got it for 89 - I could have probably picked a 911TT out of the sea of black and gray cars with similar mileage for 5k less but the bottom line is I found the exact car I wanted, it runs great, looks great, has a warranty, transaction was smooth, it is in my garage and I am happy
The car came with an integrated K40 which is either broken or the worst radar detector ever. It is basically a ticket alerter right now. I bought a Passport 9500ix (8500 in the M) and I muted the K40. I at least hope it has a laser jammer, don't know how to tell.
Interesting story to go along with the purchase... on my drive down, I was going through Georgia and saw the unmistakable wide Porsche rear with a giant wing sitting on top of it ahead of me. I thought it must have been someone heading to a DE day. I pull up to it and the driver told me to check out a little car show with him off the highway. I had about 8 more hours of driving and needed a break so I figured why not.
Turns out he was driving his brand new gray/orange 2010 GT3RS back from the dealership just like I was driving my new Porsche back home. I guess you will hate me for not posting pics of the encounter but I'll see if he wants to share
I just had to laugh when I saw the interior of the RS. Door handles? Who needs em when you can have orange straps instead? LOVED IT! Not even the Elise I drove a few weeks ago was that hardcore.
M3 pics from my place in Clearwater -- great car, absolutely terrible dealership experiences:

I don't have any real modding plans for the TT yet. I don't feel like doing much at all to it, other than jacking up the front and rotating my strut hats or picking up camber shims... I have CPO and don't want to mess anything up with the dealer when it comes to warranty.
Maybe just get a new set of wheels. Then put NT01s on the stock ones... swap in some PFC 01 pads front and rear... perhaps some titanium backing plates.... Turn 17 anyone?

I'm in your same region . Great car . I didn't plan on modifying my car either but 700 Hp later I think I am finally done . Each change was very noticeable upgrade the Turbo really accepts the tweaks very well .
The car looks great in yellow and in flawless condition.
Enjoy it and congrats.

Well done and welcome to the P fraternity. I'm down in the Sarasota area and can highly recommend Suncoast Porsche as the most mod friendly dealer you will ever encounter...should you change your mind.
Next step is to join PCA and register with Suncoast Region. Then it's off to Sebring for the next DE.
