What a freaking blast I had today when Evo MS showed up at Suncoast Porsche. Thank you Todd and Mathew...and Suncoast.

Evo was most generous in letting just about everyone take their '10 PDK with 650hp out for a spin...unaccompanied! Hell, I probably could have made it to Georgia before the car was missed.

And seeing the Gumpert Apollo in person is a treat all by itself. What a beautiful sound it makes. Not to be missed.

And OMG...the 1200hp 4.0L 997tt that Todd brought along is almost painfully loud. But what a tour de force in engineering. I declined a ride because I didn't have my earplugs handy. It is a car that you must see.

Todd and Mathew were so easy to talk with and so very generous in sharing their trade craft about the cars. I'm not sure if Todd held anything back as he answered everyone's questions about everything.




Todd also took out some of the guys in the Gumpert and I tried to video it as I followed behind. I discovered it isn't easy holding a vid camera steady while driving a shifter at speed in town. I posted some pics and the raw vids up on photobucket if anyone is interested.

If you have to drive 200 miles to see Todd and his goodies, do it! It will be well worth your time. I had so much fun that I'm going to do just that again on Friday when the boys are in Coral Springs at AWD. Hell, I may just follow them around the country...maybe they'll let me drive the big rig.

 

Figures I would be out of town in S. Georgia today. ARRRRGH! I would have loved to been there.

Today we are at Naples Porsche and we are headed over to The collection and AWD Motorsports tonight. We have a quick stop off at the Collection to see my friend Rich wh has a part for me and then headed up to see Mike at AWD. AWD's parking lot will be our home away from home for the next few days.
