boost psi after 5k?
most times only the problem is posted and no one hears the solutions...so for future people searching this topic...here goes
First off i would like to thank Quantum and Chris Green. Chris Green lives 2000 miles away from me, i have never bought anything from him and we talked about no products to buy from him and he still spent 20 mins on the phone with me...very impressive service right there. Next Quantum, he lives 20 mins from me and was nice enough to drive to me and hook up the durametric to my car and also talk to other porshce mechanics to try and help me steer my dealership in the right direction. What came out of this was a soft fault code "P9902 : Turbocharger underboost" This code throws no lights or anything, only way to see it is to hook up a durametric or a PIWIS to the car. So now it goes back to the shop and even with the code they still dont think anything is wrong, i insist they recheck...welp just got the car back and this baby hauls again. There was a cracked "O" ring on bank one turbo outlet pipe. I was loosing boost pressure through this.
Now i get full 14psi in normal mode all the way to redline and it pulls hard. Before i would get 14psi and then around 4500 rpm it would drop down to 6psi. To reiterate this car is BONE stock. Hopefully this helps someone in the future
thanks again quantum and chris green

Thanks for the kind words. Do you have a part number on what o-ring they replaced? ihave never come across this problem yet.
it was all covered under warranty and no part number was given on the service bill. It is also written in tech jibberish, here is exactly what is written
"Cracked "O" ring on turbo pipe. Replace "O" ring on bank one turbo outlet pipe."
I also had the devastating slave cylinder and accumulator replaced at the same time and those parts have part numbers listed, but nothing for the "O" ring. Who knows, maybe the "O" ring is their coverup instead of saying, had to readjust electric wastegates that we put back incorrectly after a spark plug change. I guess I will never know...but i got my boost back baby

But a flash is well worth the money too.
Some would say over ripe. But since you can't take it with you, you might as well f*ck it away before you go.
i am not sure, i guess if there was no part number it was probably just a 50 cent part
Only o-rings on the boost system are the little green ones on the IC sides. My guess is the tech didn't put the pipes back on right and broke it, no matter what they screwed the car up on the plug change bottom line. Glad u got it fixed.
May be I am getting paranoid but for some reason I am also suspecting some sort of boost leak. Unlike the original poster, my car seems to be keeping the boost albeit sort of low - under 14psi for normal and only 15 or so for sport mode.
I also noticed that I don't hear blow off (swooshing) noise during shifts anymore either. Again, I think I am just paranoid and perhaps used to the power but does my car have an issue?
The car is 100% stock
