Windshield Chip

Picked up a rock on the 73 toll road last night. Small chip in the windshield.

Any suggestions for a windshield chip repair guy Orange County (Newport Beach area).

Thanks

Hi Doc-I live in Laguna Beach and once had All Star Glass in Irvine fix a small chip in the windshield on my old 993 Carrera. They have mobile service or you can go to them at the Irvine Auto Center off the 405 South. Juan Vasquez was the manager at the time. 800-659-9424, 51 Auto Center Drive. BTW, don't fret over the chip. I rather have a windshield chip as compared to a paint chip on the hood or front bumper.
If the chip is too small, they probably won't touch it. It has to be big enough to repair. Their website is www.allstarglass.net
Hope this helps-Gary

I think I found my guy in the yellow pp. I think its a pretty standard repair but I made the mistake of waiting about a week and he told me very important to get fixed ASAP before any dust/debris can get in the defect. The sooner the crack can be filled the less obvious afterward.

Hate when that happens... I used Safelite Auto Glass. I believe it was around $75. The kicker here was they'll aply this amount to the windsheild replacement if/when the time comes. Sometimes this fix is only temporary...when the car is in more extreme heat/cold it could still crack.
