996 to 997 front end conversion question help?

just bought a front wrecked 1999 911 carrera! i want to convert it to a 997 turbo but never done it before so i need a little help! i was wondering will oem fenders, oem hood, oem headlights, and oem front bumper will it fit on the 911 carrera or will they have to be cut? or should i buy after market ones? but i dont wanna buy aftermarket parts because most of them are low quality or carbon fiber which after a while get messed up! so anyone who has converted a 996 to 997 turbo can you help me ? thanks alot!

I have seen a 996 turned into a 997, just the front of the car to get rid of those headlights. But not a turbo but I am sure you can. The bigger question is why would you want to dump that much money into a wrecked 996.

Just from what I've seen, it never looks right. That and personally I think it's tacky. Just my opinion of course.

I've done 2 conversions on my 996 NA to a full 997 Turbo and my brothers 996 GT3 to full 997 GT3. For the front conversion, OEM panels do not fit, you need to buy a bracket (wicked motorsports sells it but its not cheap) plus $$ for the oem fenders. I used after market fenders from precision motorsports which fitted perfectly and good quality. there are some misc parts you need to buy for the headlight mount which you'll need for OEM or after market. I went with OEM 997 aluminum hood from a GT3 ( need to buy 997 hinges) Rear panels were done with after market Turbo rear panel kit and GT3 was done with OEM metal panels. If you can find a oem turbo bumper from the yard that'd be nice or you can consider a GT3 conversion since you can buy a 997.2 GT3 bumper and a center exhaust GT3 997 look bumper for 996 all in polyurethane. I have pics of the conversions and all wiring diamgrams for lights if you need any help

I had both done recently actually. most were oem parts aside from the fender kit and the rear panels on the turbo version. some things needed to be cut ( mainly rear paneling) but nothing was cut down to size.
