Gone are the days...
Gone are the days...
My o' my what the GTR has done for us.... It finally got Porsche off their intentional butts and MADE them put out a car from the factory that leaves you wanting little more. It has been a nickel and dime game way too long. I drove a new "S" this weekend and it finally feels like my Stage IV Giac felt with 101 in it and has a warranty. The car is awesome, nothing like my '08 tip which I grew bored with quite quickly.
Gentlemen, the GTR is our friend and it looks like their upcoming refresh due out in a few months, which is a major one, is going to push Porsche even further. Of course Porsche is happy too, they got the price of the cars in the "500 HP and above" club over 150K. At least this time, in my opinion, when you drop the coin you will be happy. That being said I'm really close to pulling the trigger, the car left my feeling giddy The "S" that is...
By the way, off topic a bit but definitely worth the mention, I drove the new Boxster Spyder AFTER the "S". That car is an absolute blast! It is the best balanced car I've ever driven including the "S". It shocked me and it's quick! I don't think you could throw the rear end out of it, stuck like glue. Gone are the days of anemia in the little brother Porsches too. I may pick up one of those also for the pure fun of it. It made me feel young again.
