Dallas Steering Wheel will plump up your wheel. He did it to mine and it made all the difference.

For my needs, the grip of the wheel was too small in diameter and Alcantara material too slippery to give me the right driving position and grip to feel confident when hooking it. I went with smooth leather on the top and bottom and perforated on the sides, and the thicker 1/8" pad, along with thread color matching the white stitching in the car and the Porsche thread pattern. Don Le is the man who runs DCSW and does the work. The finished product is superb, totally changing the feel and amount of control. It looks like a Techart wheel, at about 1/4 the cost. Also, he turns it around in 2 days.

Welcome Slade, that steering wheel has an excellent feel to it, and TechArt was about the first thing I thought of when I got in your car. Nice work they did.

Mark's got the right idea when it comes to proper safety warnings when it comes to your female passengers. You're only looking out for their own best interests. Regarding DCSW, Don offers the option of either sending in your wheel and he will recover that same wheel and return it to you, or he can prepare the same model of wheel and send it to you, so you don't have any down time. To do this, he will charge you a $200 fee that he will eliminate when he receives your wheel. My total downtime was 6 days, which was no problem. BTW, the link I provided was to a similar wheel, but not my exact wheel. I couldn't get my photo to upload.
Mine looks much better, especially when installed in the car. It really is awesome.

Oh man. After reading this thread again, I just emailed Don about covering my anemic B7 A4 steering wheel. Hate it. Feels like a steering wheel on a school bus.

Looking to upgrade my wheel.

I see 3 options from previous posts.

Can someone give me some guidance as to the pros and cons of each ?

Looks very nice, one alternative rather than a whole new steering wheel, I bet it also will save you $$$.
