ceramic coated dual tips done!
ceramic coated dual tips done! (NEW PICS)
So my first set of "cosmetic" mods are done!
I am very happy with the result, it is exactly what I had in mind...
Apologies for the phone pics, will add proper after a nice detail session. The tips are maxspeed motorsport, bought second hand unused from a member of another forum. Word of caution, as I was searching for info, and after reading some have found a pain to install (bumper removal, welding etc) I read that the washer of the tightening screw has to be welded on the top side. Well, did that and install was maybe 5 mins. So make sure you WELD THE NUT!
I had them shipped for ceramic coating in the UK, cost an arm and a leg with shipping, but heck the result is impeccable as you can see.
Rear logo was ordered from Eric, couldnt face the possibility of flaking, got too bored to buy and paint it myself, and the just had to be a top one as I do wash and polish the cr@p out of my car. So thank you Eric, I am counting on the craftsmanship of your work.

and the rest of the pics and final result, with matte black wheels and matte black rear script...
Here is a video from Zircotec, the guys that did the ceramic coating... Amazing stuff.

Let me add, that the tips did alter the sound of the exhaust, a bit deeper in note, and perhaps dare I say a bit quieter too, more engine and turbo whine coming through, less exhaust. Few more months and I will be getting my EP...

Great upgrade! definately an idea!
I'd definately go with matt black, but problem is that it kinda blends in with the rear bumber from a distance sometimes u hardely notice u have tips. Otherwise, i'm in love with them.
