Per my discussions with him, he has a Fabspeed system en route.

Yep, Fabspeed enroute and looking for IC's now so I can install the GIAC tune back onto the car.

Austin, if we are correct that the larger VTG's remain on the car would that explain what seems to be a lag in the turbos spooling up (because they operate like larger turbos built for high-end vs. low end)? I also run in sport mode all the time and rarely hit 1.2 bar (usually max around 1 bar), since we believe I am running the stock tune, would the lower boost be because the larger VTG's are able to hit factory torque specs with less boost so the car dials them back?

AWE highly recommends it on their website since stock exhaust will cause the turbos to get too hot and can cause damage from their restrictive nature.

To elaborate on the original question - we offer a physical chip switch to go with our EVT700/720/775 kits. It is an option that I'd say about 1/2 of customers go with. This solders onto the ECU, and allows you to switch back and forth between two discrete maps using a toggle switch wired to the chip switch. We often use this to run different maps for pump vs. race gas, gasoline vs. E85, high power vs. low power for the track, etc.

It's pretty obvious if it is installed or not--there will be wiring leading out of the ECU case, and a physical board soldered onto the ECU. You would likely have problems flashing the car through the OBD port with it installed as well.

Edit: Holy necro-post. Was looking for an old thread and this appeared--I missed that it was on page 300 before responding.
