Dilemma: Keep the 06's C2S(PCCB, Aero, X51) or go straight to a 997TT
hi fellow 6speeders who has moved from a Carrera to a Turbo, I am facing a serious dilemma here:
Recently bought a super nice 06' C2S last month with PCCB, Aero, X51 (MSRP when new is $125K) in guards red which I love and is awaiting to be ship out to Taiwan. While waiting for the car to be shipped a few things came across my mind, Should I go straight to a 997tt instead or just drive this C2S and in around a year and get a 07 turbo by then?
C2S
Pro: Rare factor of the "top of the line" C2S options, mod-proved (Pretty much nothing else is available that can done to the car since it already has X51)
Con: Depreciation: I will eventually want to go to a turbo in a year or 2
Turbo
Pro: Will keep it for a few years at least
Con: Just the price delta which I don't mind spending the extra now, aslo I am sure I will be spending a good amout of money on the car to upgrade it.

- Price difference is around 30% or USD$30K (after tested/certification, freight and import tax to Taiwan)

I went from a 996 C4 to 997.1 TT and it was the best decision in the world. I love my car and if you plan on doing it in a year or so I would not wait! A couple of mods ( TPC stage 3 suspension, an ECU flash, and possibly an exhaust ) and you will have a truly awesome car. I say if the extra money isn't a real burden for you go for the TT!
