I am with Bob - I bought 4 hockey pucks at sports authority for $5 and use them with low profile jacks from Costco with absolutely zero problems. It clears stock car by 1" or so you may have to drive up 2x4 if your car is slammed.

I purchased used pucks on e bay. I think I paid like ten bucks for thirty used ones. Then I made and modified some jack stands with the pucks.

I'm used to be a hockey puck fan. But I have a set like the ones 996PCarGo showed over at EBay and they seem worth it to me. There's some value in having them lock in place, but I particularly like that if the chassis mounts begins to deform, the center of the aluminum jack pad will touch the chassis before the bracket deforms too much. Seems like goodness and something the puck won't do. I've since purchased an equivalent set for my FordGT for the same reason.
HOWEVER, I have lowered the car from the jacks and driven away without removing the pads from the brackets on the car. Of course, I'm sure I'm the only one who has done that. Surely...

All good points, and I'm pretty sure you're not the only one who has not unlocked them before driving off

you can search ebay under "porsche jack pads" and see many types. I bought one from GQ Industry off ebay because it was advertised as 35% larger than competition. It is still very small but looks like it will work fine. Very high quality. I only bought one as that is all I need to change tires and other DIY maintenance.

I have the Rennline jackplate and tie-down (haven't used it yet) and the locking jackpads. The jackpads are ok, they are a bit floppy, but do the job. You have to remember to remove them as noted above. I have four for using a lift, but generally use a racejack and one at a time.
