997TT - Silver on Silver -New Wheels - H&R Springs - APR Software - Europipe Exhaust
This car belongs to Ksiegel here on 6speed. He was interested in a set of HRE wheels and was referred to us HRE as he's located about an hour from GMP. He had is heart set on the P40's but wasn't quite sure what color to go with. He wanted something clean looking but also different at the same time. With the car being silver I knew of a couple choices that I knew he would like right away so I had HRE send him some forging samples finished in tinted brushed which is a little different from the popular clean looking regular brushed finish, and I also sent one in HRE's "satin silver" which is what we ultimately decided on and they came out great. All we had to do next was choose between 19' or 20' wheels. We ended up going with 20's on PS2's and also added in some H&R springs to the order and the car rides great and looks awesome. For those who are worried about the stiff ride going with a bigger wheel and lowering springs, I highly suggest the PS2's when you do because I think they may a big difference on how the car feels when you go over bumps.
To finish off the look of the new 20" wheels and H&R springs Ken wanted to add a little power and give it a much better sound to the car as well so we flashed it with APR sofware and installed Europipes stage 1 system with a set of chrome Techart tips and set it for 93. Before we loaded the car back into our trailer and delivered the car back to him we were able to strap it down to a mustang dyno to see how much power it laid down. We also took some video of it as well and it will be up here hopefully today.
For now I would like to share some pictures of the car and I will email the link to the linke to the owner so he can chime in what his experience was like doing business with GMP for the first time and his impressions of the modifications we've done to the car.
I personally would like to thank the 6speed members who have helped give Ken your own personal thoughts and opinions and information on the products that helped him with his decision making. Thanks guys

I'm not a fan of putting 20's on the 997 but I have to admit, those wheels look absolutely great on that car.
With the wheels, tune, and EP exhaust, I'm sure the owner will love it. Nice work GMP.

I like 20's because I think they look better than doing 19's. I think the 19's look just too small for the car and if he wants to take it on the track he can always put the stock 19's back on.
+1....

I am debating the exact same - 2008TT, Arctic Silver with P40, 19's, though (MN roads) - just can't decide on the finish. This thread helped quite a bit as the satin looks fantastic!
Curious, though - what did the "tinted brushed" look like?
The HRE offset looks great, and the drop is just right!
