I dropped off my car at the dealership with complaints of knocking noises coming from the front suspension (especially cold start in the morning) when backing out of my slightly sloped garage. I got a call from my SA stating that the behavior is normal for PCCB because the pads float and shift around the calipers which create these noises. That seems a bit odd? Anyone experience the same issue? TIA.

 

haven't heard of this before, but you never know. mine don't make any noises like this.

 

Nor mine...but your situation could be different enough to elicit some noise whereas mine don't.

Sounds odd. Any chance of taking it to another dealer?

 

my supra does this(and has always done it) when i first apply the brakes backing out of the garage every time i drive it. I hear a couple of knocks on the front end just as you said, I don't see any issues with it.
