PPI - Only $180 ???
#4
I just set up a PPI at a Porsche dealer on a 2007 TT. The cost was only $180. I was expecting it to be much more. A PPI on a Ferrari 360 through a local independent shop is $575.
Is the $180 price too low to be a thorough inspection?
(Yes... I searched the forum first.)

A PPi really isn't the same as the porsche multi point....however, the true PPI with leakdown testing, etc is more necessary (and costly) on the older aircooled cars. Not relevant on a fairly new car with a clean DME and clean multi point.
You should be fine.

Congrats, seems like you're almost there... I'd be comfortable with that inspection you mentioned if I was purchasing with a CPO and or remaining factory warranty. If/when you decide to purchase an extended warranty the vehicle will be inspected. It's suggested, if you so choose, to purchase the extension before the factory warranty runs out. Good luck and I look forward to pics of your new ride.

Sounds like you found a great car. Just ensure the warranty is transferable and is applicable in your area. May want to cal your local dealer. Probably not an issue but you've gone this far.
