On a used car, you will not beat 1.9. But I thought that was only on new Porsches.

I had a similar experience with an infiniti dealer. I purchased a truck for my wife and 2 days later I get a call. There was an error, the salesperson gave you 5 year interest @o.9% financing and a $ loyalty reduction. You are only entitled to one was their arguruement. This was on a 2002 Infiniti QX4. He told me to come in with my papers and get it corrected. I told the finance person that its not a mistake I negotiated it on takng the showroom floor model. You and I sat together to close the deal-remember you tried to sell me the extended warranty?

I ignored it, eventually got my payment book from Infiniti. The letters from the dealer

It continued and I called Infiniti motor finance and they confirmed that it is an either or program. I said that my paperwork clearly states that I get both on this car and I sent a copy. I was told that the dealers are independent and they cannot intervein. I asked if Infiniti had any problem with me paying the cupons as they were issued. They did not, said they do no get involved between custmers and dealers unless consumer affairs issues a complaint on behalf of a dealer. Lovely right!

With in 2 months, this delaer closed and sold to a large chain and my problem went away. Dealers can try everything they want but in the end it pays to get everything in writng clearly.

Glad you did not get wacked financially. It is nerve wracking the get these calls a few times a week during dinner.

All worked out in the end. I would hope high end car dealers make enough $ on the sale that they dont have to nibble at the end of the deal.

I have to admit I was surprised that a Porsche dealer would do that. The call should have started with we screwed up and we will eat the cost. It's not a 15k car we are talking about here. Funny thing is, I have only had this happen with high end dealers. I have not had it happen when buying smaller ticket vehicles for some reason. The last time they said my credit wasn't good enough and it was actually pretty good at the time. This time they said it wasn't available on a particular model because my score is near 800...

At the end of the day, they are making it right which is the most important part so I'm waiting on the paperwork today. I guess I will never know if it was an honest mistake or not but I would have expected them to start off by offering to make it right from the get go if it was an honest mistake.
