Thanks for the feedback guys and it's hard to argue with the logic and responses. Whatever direction I go, probably the TT, it's going to be a 6 speed. My M5 has the SMG tranny and while it's perfect for the M5, I really miss the 3rd pedal. During my test drives of the C4S and the TT, I was so at home with the manual. I'm sure the PDK is great in the 09+ but not what I am looking for and I'm not interested in the Tip for the TT (no offense to any Tip owners just perfer the 6 speed.)

Good to see you entering the Porsche fold
Get the TT. Nuff said Didn't you also have an E39 M5?

Thanks Bone. I was pretty much hooked as soon as I left the parking lot. On paper the C4S makes sense, but the rush from the TT was insane. I have not slept for days. Yes, I had an E39 and E60. I sold the E39 when I moved back up north over a year ago. The M5 is great, just looking to move on. As I don't really follow the TT prices I didn't realize that they are in the range they are. Good deals IMO. What are the specs on your car? Any advice? At this point I'm focusing on a TT. Going to be patient. Do you think prices will firm in the spring?

What did you think of the one you drove? I have been looking at that one for the past week and being in AZ it's hard for me to come out to NYC to look it over. The sales guy at Roslyn that I have been working with is a really cool guy and right now I have it down to two different turbos, one being that one. I am thinking about purchasing it but would appreciate your thoughts on the condition of the car both mechanically and paint wise.

Ahhh, there really is a guy in AZ...... you are looking at the silver one correct? I don't want to state my opinion on an open forum but please feel free to call me 561-445-8016 and I will give you some feedback. I'm not buying it so you don't have to worry about that. I cannot PM either.

Without hesitation the turbo is the correct choice

I added Bluetooth, iPod and sat radio to mine via aftermarket so that solves that issue

Actually talked with a few dealerships in the last few weeks and also checking Manheim daily, the #'s for all cars (relative) are going back up. Also heard from a few dealers that there are more 08's than 07's out there (not sure about that though)

997tt Flashed ?

The prices of the '07 turbos have dropped quite a bit in the seven months; I didn't see one East coast car with less then 20k miles for near $95k in July when I pulled my '09 4s. This may be due to lease rollovers. Are the long term ownership issues for the two cars similar ? and does abuse enter the equation ? I assume you'd request a rev report. Also review the tires; a new set may be necessary and that's +$1500.

On flashing: what issues can this lead too (warranty, service, failures) ? Have a lot of of tt's been flashing ? How much more power is there ?

In this market I agree it would be a tough call: New vs 2 years of miles is still a big issue, as is the lack of a warranty. I still can't stop smiling every time I'm in mine. And though not as quick as a tt it is very, very fast . . .
