I have a friend that is a CHP officer here in the Bay Area and BTW you need to be 10 MPH over the posted speed limit for him to even consider pulling you over on a major freeway. You went 3 mph over that. If he wrote you up that would have been really tight. Now if you were driving along side the officer on the freeway and passed him up at that speed that would be a different story. This was not the case though.
