And Paul, is the reason that your car has such low mileage b/c your wife makes you drive the minivan? haha, worry about yer own trousers my friend!
Sorry boggster didn't mean to tip you over but after reading your post it looked like holy jessuz man not another one!! Lifes too short for that ****.I've seen guys that have allowed themselves to become so ***** whipped everything requires permission and begging. A very sorry state of affairs..

On mine well i must admit she needs (the car that is) more mileage but its not through want of not trying. My regular travels are mostly to blame and whilst i have an suv which i use if i need to lug stuff around my wife has something reasonably nice of her own so things run pretty smoothly on that front....even though she laments not being able to drive manual....to bad heh. And shes a real dress gal so my trousers are nice and safe thanks....god im lucky!!... altho ya gotta make your own luck on that one.

Ok now back on topic whats the story with your cam bogg? Can you find out any info like has it worn out the lobes or, where is the problem with it? Did you tell them you had a tune? And finally have they looked at your ecu for rev ranges? I know if they do they will definitely see some bad ranges That could be a problem....

Paul my friend, I have no idea what you are talking about! My only comment was that my wife didn't say that my car needed more power. Well duh, it has 500hp stock! Perhaps something got lost in the translation to Aussie, I dunno. BTW, I've started on the upgrade path to bigger vtgs (lol, and the wife knows about it), where are your cojones on this matter?

My understanding is that the variocam is stuck in one position. It's not clear if the problem is with the actuator or the camshaft. I didn't mention the tune since it is irrelevant here. The dealer indicated it was a known problem that they've encountered before. No idea if they've looked at overrevs but my durametric says nothing over stage 2, and very few stage 2s.

The fronts (20s) looked like there was just a sliver of rubber. Wife also noticed the silver emblem on the hood and hinted that perhaps it's time to get rid of the "cheesy" gold one that came with the car. But she most certainly did NOT say the car needed more power. damn.
Ummm...there it is!^^^.

Hi boggy. Ok....moving on..

Now on that cam. Can you let me know the full scoop on what went wrong and what caused the sticking. On your range counters, that sounds pretty good. I thought you would have had some higher ones. Have you ever bought it to the redline?

bounced off the redline a couple of times recently in fact, but that was with stock programming. I was doing some pbox testing. I'll let you know what happens when they tell me. If my wife lets me. hahaha

Aha. Then when you get it back do it with the tune in and then let me know what ranges are showing. Id be interested to see what happens to yours.
And on the other...make sure you are on your hands and knees OK . I'd hate to see you get hurt.

you can physically feel the lifters change between stages based on RPM..you feel it by varying in the throttle while driving.

One of the symptoms I had was a little bit of "lurching" when varying throttle speeds.

I've looked at the overrevs before with and without programming and don't recall any difference.

And on the other...make sure you are on your hands and knees OK
I'll defer to your expertise on this matter.
