Thoughts on Terracotta Interior?

I was close to buying a 2007 Black/Black but the Carfax had an incident. I was also looking at a 2008 with 16K miles but dealer wanted too much.

There are a lot of Terracotta with Black two tone interior cars out there. I like it but the wife is on the fence...... what say 6 speed members about Terracotta? It is brown? Is it red? Somewhere in between? I sat in one a month ago and cannot remember the tone of the color but remember leaving interested in the car........

I had a boxster with a full terra-cotta interior. I loved it. Nvr met anyone who didnt. I actually prefer the full terra to the 2 tone.

I had it on a black car and the carpet was black (I wouldn't get it with terracota carpeting). The color does not photograph well - it always looks red but in person I call it more brick or rust color.

Nice color in and of itself, but personally, I don't think it suits a sports car (yeah, yeah, some say the TT is more a GT, but shutup, I'm not talking to you). Very well suited to a luxurious sedan, a Panamera or Maser perhaps, but seems out of place in a turbo.

two tone terra / black is awesome, so long as you get black carpet and lower doors in black! its more red than anything, brick red.

OK, I'll be a somewhat dissenting voice here.

I really like the colour - in someone else's car. Don't know that I could live with it on a daily basis...

Validation is all very well and good, but ultimately, it's you who will be opening the door every morning and either saying "Wow, I LOVE this interior" or "Holy crap, what was I thinking!!!!!!".

Good Luck

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to take a look tomorrow at a 2008 with 8xxx miles. It's two tone but the carpet is TC. Dash and top of doors are black. If purchased, I would have black floor mats.
