The dates of manufacture dont affect the clutch and pressure plate components....only the slave and accumulator. So you should be fine unless they changed out the slave and accumulator as well and didnt pay attention to the dates. Btw being able to smell the clutch from inside your car isnt great. Somethings not right......unless you are slipping the crapper out of the clutch each time.
