My new 2010 TT

Was going back and forth between a new GTS and a TT. Finally decided on a 2010 TT coupe with 1K miles with everything I wanted. Only thing I was/am somewhat leery about is the center lock wheels. It is black with two tone interior. Great car! Hope the picture is attached.

the center locks aren't desirable?

Good choice, really like the combo of black with two tone interior.
I see your point about the centerlock wheels. If anything is swapped easily, it's a set of wheels. Better be happy with the rest of the car, than needing to change out seats or so .

No first hand experience. Just what I have been reading. I like them BUT Special tools to remove center lock and needs to be torqued down with special tool while the rim/tire is off the ground. These tools will not be at my local auto shop. My only concern if I get a flat. Will have to be towed to a dealership which is 60 miles away. Surely happy with the rest of the car although not really unhappy about the CL, just concerned in case of a flat.

If you want info on centerlocks, check out the GT3 forum and you will find lots of information and opinions. Some have concerns and complain about having to carry a non-factory-supplied torque wrench and breaker bar on road trips, others find it of no concern whatsoever. With the GT3.2 there isn't a choice for wheel type. At least with the standard TT (so far), you can have a choice.
As for flats and towing, it's not so much whether you have centerlocks or 5 lug, if it's not repairable with goop, you're getting towed- and by flatbed (and maybe good luck with that if you are doing some touring in remote areas....) The joys of no spare...
Personally, I would be sure to carry the torque wrench and breaker bar on road trips and just take the time to be knowledgeable concerning the proper removal and replacement of the CL's (so that I could make sure the guy in the tire shop in the outback could do the job properly.)

PS. Congrats on the beautiful TT - I am sure you will enjoy it immensely. I think you'll get over the centerlocks question mark one way or another.

Congrats on the new car, great color combo on the interior. You wouldn't happen to be in Richmond? That looks like EuroClassics off of Midlothian, I was just there this weekend. Either way, have fun with it!
