Uh oh ... no boost ... what happened?

I just installed an exhaust system on my 07 turbo yesterday. It's a Fabspeed with 200 cat. The install went flawlessly. Cranked it up several time in the driveway and things seemed to be working in good order. (sounds awesome too!)

So, I decided to take it for a spin and got about a mile down the road and ran the RPM's up to hear it. At about 4,000 RPM there was a loud bang almost like a backfire from the rear and I lost some power. My initial thoughts were that I hadn't tightened something down. I turned around and took it back home and everything is in place. But I have no boost. I hear the turbo spooling up, but it does nothing.

Any thoughts on what might have happened??? I'll be taking it to the shop, but I am a little concerned to say the least ...

I would first check connections at the intercoolers and turbo valves (plastic tube) next plenum. Probably, something got loose doing the installation.

I'll check the intercooler hoses. Yes, everything is running fine. No codes, nothing. Just no boost.

If you took the bumper off, the IC tubes are probably loose.

Check also BRV valves connection and double check your exhaust for any leaks.

I'm kind of surprised you didn't get a CEL.

That's right ... no CEL. I was surprised too. I dialed through the info menu and there were no messages, no red explanation point, etc.

That's just crazy to me. The DME should have been pissed when it saw no boost. Maybe you just got lucky. HAHA!

Usually the ecu recycles every thirty or so miles. May not have driven enough.
