It would be interesting to see how and between which wires you did this resistor pack mod to fit the new tail lamps ?
I expect at least the normal parking / running lights need this, and possibly also for the blinkers, right?

The modules are rather expensive (495EUR here) compared to resistors, that can be had 4pcs. 50W 6ohm / 12USD from Ebay.

Slightly off topic but has anyone tried their fog light LED conversion:

Can we see some pics and did you have to modify your 997.1 TT bumper?

Thanks

I'm trying to figure this out myself. Got the 997.2 LEDs and in the process of trying different resistors. I have an '08 C4 which has the updated rear control module (ending in '08)., so it might be as simple as having the coding changed to accept LEDs... Any insight on this or resistor suggestions?

Anyone have a link to the resistor diagram. I have an 06 and purchased the Oem led tails and Oem rear bumper. If Im able to make a resistor or purchase the fvd connectors will they function properly? Or do I still need to buy the new modules underneath the seats? What about coding?

The FVD modules will work on your '06, no coding needed. Problem is they cost $495, but you may get a forum discount from Rhonda @ FVD. I just completed a full front & rear 997.2 conversion on my '08. I built my own resistor box using OEM plugs that I used until I got my coding changed (my '08 already had the newer module under the seat). It worked great & no errors. I don't need the boxes anymore if you'd like to try & buy them if they work for you, I did a lot of testing before finding the right combination of resistors and the OEM wire harness plugs & clips aren't cheap....

Revival of this thread. I did the conversion 2 years ago. All worked great until I realized that the turn signals are now only working when they feel like it. It's a gamble as to when they will work and when they will not work. When I turn on my headlights they work 100% of the time. Otherwise not so. Checked all the connections this past weekend and all was good. I did remember that I bought the red .2 tail lamps form a fellow 6er. I seem to recall they were not "Porsche" but looked identical and got the pair for 800 shipped. I'm now wondering if the fact that the lights are not Porsche is my problem. It may be that the turn signals never worked 100% of the time and I just got lucky to not get a ticked. It was an inspection station that brought it to my attention.

Could it be the aftermarket tail lights not wanting to work as they should with the FVD controller? Or could it be the controllers themselves? Or something else?

I do have a call into Rhonda and she is looking into my situation for me. If anyone else has had this issue please let me know.

Thanks,

Tom
