Front spoiler lip: user installable?

The minute I exit the dealer's lot after I picked up the car, I heard a scratch and from what I read here, this is a very common occurance and I quick search on Suncoast found the replacement for a very modest cost (for Porsche parts). So I am wondering if I should get a few and replace it every 6-9 months. However, I must admit that I am completely useless with a screw driver. (Much better with mouse) So is this something I can do myself? If it is anything much harder than unscrewing a few screws, I will be lost.

BTW, how often do you (or if you) replace this part? Before I got the car, a few members have already suggested for me to save up on lip replacement. And now I know why. LOL.

If you have a torx driver it's all of a couple screws. If you just scratch up the bottom surface nobody will see it unless it's up on a lift. BUT if you hook a curb somewhere you will tear it up. Takes longer to get the tools together than it does to change it.

I would order a few at a time. I've only ordered one so far and I think shipping was about 25% of the cost. Since they weigh next to nothing, I would think they could put several in one box without additional shipping charges.

Changing mine went something like this:
1. Unpack new spoiler
2. Remove torx screws
3. Pull old spoiler a little
4. Search 6speed for instructions
5. Go pull on spoiler harder
6. Search 6speed more for instructions
7. Go pull as hard as I can, bumper is starting to flex, but spoiler not coming off
8. Search 6speed some more. Find post about pulling from bottom of spoiler with fingers while pushing with thumbs against bumper just above spoiler and finally remove.
9. Install new spoiler, replace screws. Enjoy.
