Love my black 997, but it shows everything

If it were a daily driver rather than a weekend car, would definitely go white or silver. As things stand, she get a bath every Friday or Saturday and looks great for the two days I drive her! Black really stands out when clean and polished, lighter colors look about the same whether you do much to them or not.

My first Porsche was black, I wanted no other color, than after a month I wanted anything but black. Love the gt2 rs in black with the Matt carbon parts.

I realize you do not like matte colors but I second this comment from Slick997! Matte white is best IMO. I have a white TT and would love to make it matte white.

As long as you do not hit rain it's not that bad, specially if you wax it once per month. After I saw the movie Bad Boys with the black 993 Turbo, I knew my 997 TT had to be black

Out here in west TX it's

1. dust
2. Dust
3. DUST!

Then, followed distantly by
4. Overflow into the streets of yard irrigation (which is quite bad, hard to avoid, and not enforced)
5. Rain

I'll clean the car and 1hr later, covered with dust Since I only drive on weekends and in good weather, a different city would allow me to detail 1x/mo and be fine. I can't even keep it clean in the garage here... the wind blows so hard some days, it gets everywhere. There are a lot of good qualities about this place too; so I just live with it.
