Occasional smoke during startup... is this normal?

Thanks again everyone for chiming in... I'm reassured by the explanation of the boxer engine etc but I don't understand why my Boxster never exhibited this same symptom????

Every now and then we saw a slight puff of blue oil smoke with the 2.7L Cayman, but this was pretty rare after a couple thousand miles. The 2011 911TT only belches a shot of black fuel smoke when it's cold like first start in the morning. Nothing at all when it's warmed up.

This is pretty normal, I wouldn't get too excited.
