From one owner of a PDK turbo to another, don't think of upgrading turbos before a solid upgrade solution for your PDK box is available and you get it done.

Your stock box will not hold the power of upgraded turbos.

You are at the very limit of the stock box with an exhaust, tune and filter.

Talk to Champion motorsports. I think that their PDK Box upgrade is now available or nearing availability.

Good luck.

but What´s the problem with PDK BOX?

my Turbo PDK has 580hps, ecu tuning, Fabspeed Maxflo X-Pipe with 200 cell HJS sportcats and dual-style tips, Fabspeed Sport Headers and BMC F1 Air Filter!!!

the next step is TURBO´S UPGRADE!!!

but now....

Why don't you read what others have asked a long time before, so you can understand why you can't do turbos?
Champion Motorsport has written some detailed posts so far regarding 997.2 Turbo (S) PDK and upgrades and you will get a better perspective by reading those.
All you'll get in this thread are answers pointing to already answered questions.

Champion can basically add an array of items including their 68mm VTG's resulting in a nice increase of over 100 AWHP and over 100 FT# TQ. They limit the output of the upgrade due to the clutches and gearing but 100 AWHP/TQ+ is nothing to sneeze at and would certainly transform the car into an even faster car...I will let you know as I am scheduled for the upgrade 10 days from now.

BTW: The car retains the balance of its warranty.

Another article (a bit dated): http://championmotorsportonline.net/?p=1

This is true, they can put their VTGs on it. However, until they release their new gearbox, how much point is there? They have to limit the power output with the stock trans to 540awhp. How close to that number can one get with just a tune, exhaust and maybe some other smaller bolt ons? If you could get around 500awhp with just smaller mods, would it make sense to spend a pretty large sum of money for the whole VTG kit when it's only going to be running at like 20% of it's capacity netting the user only like 50ish horsepower? Maybe. A personal choice for sure. Once they finish the PDK upgrade it's a different story. I can't wait to see what kind of times they are able to throw down with a built PDK and > 600 awhp. I read that you are having a TTS Cab built by them? Tell them to hurry up with that thing and do some runs with it.

I understand were you are coming from but I do anticipate a break through in the power the PDK can hold. Why not enjoy an extra 100 AWHP until then? The clutches are further along than you may think .

No need to roll your eyes. There was no sarcasm in my post, I am a fan of champion's work and just excited to see the PDK kit finished. That's why I said that once the PDK upgrade is finished it's a different story. At that point, the upgraded turbos make a lot more sense.

I roll my eyes because of all the negative comments thrown around this forum (not directed at you). Further, its my money - I spend it the way I want. Third, I will just say that Champion is well underway in the development of increasing the capacity of the PDK. Finally, as I will gain 100 AWHP+ and my car will be ready once the PDK upgrades are released I view it as an investment in the future.

100 AWHP on top of the standard TT AWHP will get you at the limit of the PDK.
With an exhaust, tune and filter you're close to that limit already.
Why not to the previously mention upgrades (from the CMS package), then upgrade to the complete package when it is updated with the engine + PDK upgrades?
You may increase wear on the transmission by doing the normal upgrades, why increase it by taking it to the near limit? Have some patience, you'll get the rewards you want soon enough.
From my perspective having the complete package is like having the Christmas gift in your hands, but unable to open it. Isn't that frustrating?

Yes and no. I have thought about limiting to 515-525 and then waiting. I plan on keeping the car many years and have no intention of racing it as I have a GT2 being built for that. I have a very close relationship with Champion and I will follow their lead. The current limit is not 540 but its not my place to say what is. Given they warranty the car, mirroring that of the factory warranty, they will not build it beyond a safe level unless I want to take full responsibility which I have no intention of doing. I will have my quote this next Tuesday and then we will talk about the limits. Your viewpoint does make sense and I may do just that....I will make a decision next week.

There is no universal safe limit. When you test a few cars for 50,000 miles then you can say it's safe...
