Hey Guys. Wanted to share some pics of this gorgeous TTS we just finished. It's proudly owned by none other than TTSurgeon! Chris had brought us his 997T.1 for the same set up a while back. Naturally, he wanted an encore to compliment his new black turbo S!

It's our complete stealth Valentine ONE install with display expertly etched in the rear view mirror. Yes, full auto-dimming is retained in the 997 models.
The V1 control **** is fitted under the hand brake, and the V1 speaker is discretely remoted to the overhead console to be close to the driver's ear.

On the laser end, we swear by the Blinder system exclusively. Each eye is slightly recessed within the front and bumper. We use a custom high intensity warning LED and integrate it within the V1 mirror display.

 

Where did you hide the V1 unit itself?

So do the blinders actually work? I've read a few thing that say certain ones don't work...

Hey Gus, good to see you posting here. NOt sure if you remember but you did a similar setup on my 997TT - and my 997S, and my E55, LOL.

 

I know my LI's work. Tested against 4 different guns and they did very well.

 

Oh yeah they work, on old blue I had at least two instances of lasar head on at 80mph. In both cases the officer had to take a double take at the gun, it reads out as an error.
Regarding going DFI, yes I did but with a lot of second thoughts. In the end the deal was simply too good to pass up.
Not sure exactly where he puts the v1 unit, but it works great.

The LI kit seems to rank highly in most test / reviews Ive seen.

 

Blinders did OK. There were some M40's, M27 & M47 out there when mine was tested. They got some pretty bad punch throughs. Could have been the install but could have been the units??? Don't know for sure. There was a blue vet there with LI's front and rear and he got JTG (jam to the gun) on EVERY gun and EVERY distance. They tried eveything to get a hit. NOTHING!!
