Shipping: West Coast to Texas

Negotiating with Porsche dealer on 2007 911 Turbo. They have quoted me $2200 for shipping from NW to Dallas, Tx area. This is enclosed, insured and a "trusted transporter" they have extensive experience with.

Any thoughts or personal experience to know if this is reasonable or not?

Thanks.

Last month I came close to selling my Phoenix 2007 997tt to a gentleman from Alabama. I was quoted in the neighborhood of $1695 for the job by a 6speed forum trusted transporter. That was from Queen creek, AZ to Huntsville, AL. What are you looking for in your future turbo? I have a CPO available for sale...

I just shipped from MA to Dallas, TX for 1600. Other quotes for 1400 but they couldn't pick up soon enough. Check with Passport, they give 6peeders a discount.
Good luck

I would definitely agree with the others in that $2200 is too high. I would contact Intercity vanlines on here and see what discounted rate they give you.

Hit up Rolando at www.go2transport.com and tell them Dan sent you. They just shipped a Bullrun car for me from New Orleans to AZ for $1200.

I drove mine back home but it was only 400 miles from San Diego to AZ. NW to TX would be too much imho...I would worry about the rock chips for one, flat tire would be a nightmare in the middle of nowhere, and high chance of speeding tickets on the drive back lol.
