Running problems.
Hi all.
Ive recently flashed mycar via protomotive and was wondering if anyome else has experienced what im experiencing before i bother todd.
Basicly on wot sometimes the car seems like its holding back,
kinda like its not reving freely and as if its struggling to rev, on occasions it feels like it clears at 6500 rpm and then revs freely to the limiter - when i emaild todd my Files for lamba and boost, at the time he said it looked fine but the power dropped off at this rpm -whether this is relevant im unsure.
Its totally random and doesnt do it all the time and its not dependant on ait. Ive also tried different fuels as well but still the same.
I also changed the plugs the day after i flashed it as it was missfiring badly. So this ones ruled out.
Also to add to the background of the car as its fitted with fabspeed exhaust bmc filter, forge diverter valves and .2 intercoolers.
Thanks for any help anyone maybe able to offer.

check your fpr connection.
are you saying it feels sluggish up to 6500rpm or after 6500rpm? I interpret your post as meaning up to 6500rpm. When does the sluggishness start (i.e. what rpm do you start wot)?

Does it feel like it's breaking up at times? When I put a flash on my car, things happened....in a bad way. Split a hose near the BCS and then the MAF went bad. Low mileage car that was perked up by a flash. Do you have the ability to datalog via a durametric?

I suppose thats the best way to describe it, its like its really really straining to pull through the revs.
Also and not sure if its related but sometimes i boot it in first and its almost like it has no boost at all.
I can log through durametric and wasthinking it could be maf related but how could you check that?
Thanks

The symptoms you are experiencing indicate you are losing boost. I suspect one of your snap fittings to the intercoolers or one of the hoses was not properly secured after your intercoolers were installed. Now your car is tuned the additional boost really puts the hose connections to the test. Btw what did Todd say? Any updates?

The car seems to hold boost on the gauge but when im back i will check these connections - also it is intermittent and doesnt do it all the time
I havent used race fuel so can safely rule that one out .
Im away travelling with the car for a couple of weeks so havent tried to contact todd as data logs in My curent location would be a bit hard.
Is there a way to check the mafs through durametric to see if there bad??
Thanks!

All great recommendations. Read the codes and also check all Exhaust, Turbo and Intercooler connections for leaks or problems, just in case. I would also try resetting the computer by unplugging the battery for a few minutes which seems to help sometimes on certain applications. GL
thanks,
