aftermarket wheels for 997tt

I was looking to get some opinions and expertise from fellow members. I was looking to get a set of the concave wheels for a 07 997tt. I like the look of 20's but would it hurt performance? Would it be better to just keep the original 19" size with the same offset?
What do you guys have on your cars? 19"? 20"? Offset? Any rubbing issues? Any and all info is appreciated.

I went with 19's ADV1's 7.1 concaves 19x9 front 19x12 rear, they took 3 weeks to get built and I'm extremely happy, I get compliments on them all the time, I think that 20's look too big on our cars + they affect performance.
No rubbing issues even though I'm running h&r springs.

Wow, 12" rears??!! Are they super concave? What offsets? I am leaning toward the 19" too. I love the look of the deep concave styles on the Wide bodies...

It doesn't matter if it's 19"s or 20"s, it matters what they weight. Logic will tell you, smaller will be lighter. Get some forged wheels, they are light and strong but expensive. There are so many choices. Here is my turbo (tpc turbo ) iForged Swifts 20x9 front and 20x12 rears wrapped in Michellin PS2's 245/30/20 and 325/25/20. They weight the same as some of the 19" OEM wheels.

I agree, but something else to consider.

Smaller may be lighter, but sometimes it can be a wash when you add in the tires. Ultralight 19s weigh more than ultralight 18s, but when you add the tires, the weights are pretty similar. Biggest advantage are the tire options for the 18s.

Agree, I have 3 choices for my 20"s, kinda sad, 19"s have a lot more, and of course 18"s, even more.

Your right there are only 3 choices available but there are some really good choices. With lowering springs 20's look the best IMHO.

HRE, Modulare, ADV.1 are the premier choices out there in the market. I think between the three of them you should find something you like. If your looking for concave though, go with a one piece wheel from ADV.1. It will be much lighter than a concave 3 piece wheel if weight is important to you. They also have back pad, and spoke pocketing options as well to help reduce weight.

I have had the BBS E28 Cup wheels in 19" on my car before. Some people love it, some hate it. They look cool to people who love racy look. They are strong and light and great for track. Just too bad that I have upgraded to brembo GT BBK so I have to sell them. How do you like it?

Actually there are no disadvantages.

Advantages are more wheel= more tire = more traction.

We've got a complete line of 1 piece fully forged monoblock wheels available, including our RS98 which is one of the lightest 19 inch wheels on the market coming in at 19.02 lbs (for a 19x9.0 inch front wheel) and 20.61 lbs (for a 19x12.0 inch rear wheel).

Best part about this particular wheel is that although it's a 1-piece fully forged wheel, it mimics the look of a multipiece wheel by added a diamond cut and polished outer lip, something that very other wheel companies can do. The unique forging we use makes it possible. All the benefits of a monoblock wheel with the added "bling" of a multi-piece.
