Question Short Shifter Options for 2008 GT2

Guys - I need some input from the extensive pool of knowledge within the forum. I have in years past built Corvettes and had good to excellent results using MGW and B&W short shifters.

The questions are

1. How short is the 2008 GT2 shifter in comparison to B&W and SSK?
2. What shifter would y'all recommend if one prefers a shorter (than OEM) shifter?

I have noticed through a search that SSK and B&W seem to be the most predominant after market shifters. For those whom prefer shorter shifters and have made the change what brand have they installed and why.

Thanks in advance.

Thank You,
Slow

1) GT2 same as stock 997.
2) I prefer SSK - if dealer installed covered under warranty. BTW, it's B&M. B&M is less expensive but same throw length as SSK.

Had the dealership put on their current OEM SSK for my turbo and 100% impressed. Would never go back. Do the right thing for your GT2 and get the porsche short shifter kit, you won't be disappointed.

(never knew the GT2 came from the factory with the long throw...interesting)

My buddy has an 09 911TT and I drove it before and after he got his short shift kit installed, and even he said that my gt2 has shorter throws then his car even after his short shift kit has been installed.

I will not have my car back for another 10 days but will check with Champion. Further, my window sticker says not a word about a "short shifter". I drove my GT2 for a very short while before I turned it over to CMS but one of the things that struck me was the length of the shifter.
