is there any way to turn off the digital speedometer on a 997?

 

its nice and easy to read with little effort, why would you want to do that

 

for the same reason i dont wear a digital watch!

I dont think you can do this. You can only swap the info below it. Its funny when you think that finally someone did a wonderful thing and realised that speed needles are very hard to follow and are not accurate, then added a large digital dial, someone hates this.

I love it myself. Maybe some tuner dial swap? You can also tape over it, just kidding...

 

I too would not wear a digital watch, but this is not the same at all. The digital speed display is a huge improvement in both looks and ease of use. I am not trying to offend you I am just asking why you would want to change it.

 

If your analog watch is slightly off, the worst that will happen is that you will be scolded for being late. If your analog speedometer is slightly off, you may end up being some bad man's girlfriend for the evening in the county lockup.

Just turn the key off and remove it from the ignition. Lock the door.. walk away .. Problem solved .
