Most Carbon Fiber vendors on this site like Rottec will sell them.

Are you talking about MAF-less blow through intakes or the trim piece on the rear fender?

I think most sellers sell their setups as part of a kit. You could ask Markski (911 tuning) here on 6speed - I think he's been asked to sell this setup separately before.

in 997 you can run fender intakes with mafs...these cars have two mafs, unlike 996 that had only one...we have three 997TT in Greece running this kind of intake...one has bigger turbos while the others have stock turbos with software and exhaust...it improves throttle response and midrange torque giving a nice sound when spooling...on the other hand you cant see when a filter is dirty,or when a filter has failed or damaged...so a visual check is needed from time to time by removing bumper...

the pros def. out weight the cons. its not hard for once a month to check to see if its in tact, with any after market filter ,you should take them out and clean them and oil them regardles.
although in the many years that i have been using fenderwell intakes i NEVER EVER had an issue with the ones listed above..

I have find intake in protomotive!

But i dont know buy or no this intake, because in Russia to much dust and other **** on the street, stock filter i change every 3000km,with fender intake i think i need to clean my cones every 500km!

I want get max power from my car,now I have Switzer R750,but with proto tune,! I have install new exhaust at morning, very light and good sound! Next step for my car i think this is plenum and GT3 TB and fender intake, after finish,i think this is max mods for vtg turbos

Protomotive Fenderwell Intake. Couple of variations exist. Check with Todd K. Advantages-less restrictive, better flow and significant earlier torque advantage with certain set-ups. Disadvantages-can get dirtier faster since it sits in the fenderwell area as mentioned.

Bigger disadvantage - you are putting a very large obstructing object in front of the intercooler, potentially decreasing its thermal efficiency and also increasing recovery time.

Yes, definitely some obstruction going on but not clear how much it impacts IATs.

that would be an interesting test to see.

MEasuring the benefits of a much less restrictive intake vs. the blockage of the intercooler.

maybe one of these air speed measuring devices behind an intercooler with this intake on and off at steady speed would be a test to could validate the loss of air flow because of the intake, but to actually measure thermal efficiency i think it would require IAT sensor measurements with the intake on and off in very similar weather conditions...
