DME DATA 2009 997 Turbo--Your Opinion Please
Hello Everyone,
I'm in the final stage of pulling the trigger on a low mileage 997tt, 10,000km. Your advice on the DME data below is very much appreciated.
Range1: (8791) 255.6 h
Range 2: (429) 157.1 h
Range 3: (7) 156.3 h
Range 4: 0
Range 5: 0
Range 6: 0
Operating hours: 255.600
In reading previous posts, I would surmise these data would be acceptable to follow through with the purchase, but some reassurance would be very nice.
Please reply,
Thanks!

Definitely looks good to me. I bought a car with slightly worse numbers after 8 months of waiting for a good DME at a good price.
I suspect the range 1 may have been the mechanic pulling it into the bay to read the DME. Doesn't .1 represent 6 min. of operating time? I understand that depressing the throttle in neutral can produce over revs..

Thanks for your prompt input guys. Much appreciated!
Indeed, the most recent Range 1 ignition was caused by the mechanic.
Any other opinions from forum members is most appreciated....

Do you feel that this amount of total time at 7200 rpm is cause for concern?
Search for my posts...
range 1 is for 6800-7000 for 997,1TT,not 7000-7200 that is range 2.
so go ahead and buy it...these numbers are ok...

I didn't have my tables with me so I just used 7200 as an example. At 6800 rpms the time is a little less than 26 seconds...and no I wouldn't have any concerns...others might though.
