997.1 TT vs 997.2 TT(S) front lip the same?

As the title says...are the lower front lips that same on the .1 and .2?

I have two spare lips from my 2007 TT and I wonder if I can use them on my 2011.

Thanks.

Almost the same, they are interchangeable. The 997.2 is slightly different in shape along the lower edge.
I guess you got the car, congrats!

Is this part pretty easy to change yourself? What's a good place to buy a couple 'spares'??

Thx!

super easy, just put a new one one. One torx each side then start pulling down along the lip.

I'm going to pick up a replacement today and will have to look at it. The Porsche part number is the same for 2007 through 2011 - 997 505 557 01

Yes I did and thank you. Enjoying it a lot so far. Extremely fast car. Still getting used to the PDK and the 9A1 engine. I keep forgetting to put it in PARK LOL. The 9A1 is so different than the older turbo engine.

The standard black spoiler lip for the .1 and .2 Turbos are exactly the same. They are the same part number from Porsche.

From what I can tell the only spoiler lip different between the two models is the Aerokit lip.

Ryan - do you know if the GT3 lip will fit the turbo and is it slightly smaller - looking for a little more ground clearance. Thanks.

The GT3 lip will not fit onto the Turbo... If you are interested we sell the factory Turbo lips here: http://www.suncoastparts.com/product//997TTLIP.html

Maybe an aftermarket company has something that will give you a little more ground clearence? Otherwise, at 192$ for the factory I think most owners just replace them every so often.
