durametric not communicating

durametric not communicating
I just got a check engine light on my dad's 07 turbo manual. I went and bought the durametric professional cable and a new laptop, did the installation. And when i plug it in the green light goes on, so there is power. but when i try to read the codes or do anything, it says could not communicate. It works fine on my friends 97 boxter.

are you sure its professional cable ??? cuz the normal user cable work only for 3 cars ! is it new cable ??

Email Durametric - they are very responsive.

What computer processor? What version Windoze?
