OBD2 Gauge for AFR and much more

After the success of our former SpeedTech R-9000 Multi-Gauge (made by Brockway), we are introducing the new Brockway DGauge to our line of quality Porsche accessories. The DGauge is compatible with the newest OBD2 CAN protocal and works on all newer Porsche models, as well as most other imorted cars made from 2006-2010. It is compact and displays a wide variety of engine data simply by connecting one cable to the OBD2 port in the drivers footwell area. With a wide variety of AEM external sensors available, it is capable offering additional real time data when configured with the external sensors. This is a great tool for monitoring both banks of air fuel ratio on modified cars. It also clears CEL's with the push of a button and the display color is adjustable. An optional programmable shift light is available, as well. Take a look at our web site for all the details - there is too much to mention here.

This is the web link for detailed information: http://www.speedtechexhausts.com/page20.html

Here are a few pictures of the new look...PM or email with any questions.

Will it read AFR thru the ODB on the 07 997TT or do you need one of the special add on sensors? I couldn't find the answer on the link.

It will read it through the OBD2, as the 997TT has wide band 02 sensors. That is the beauty of this device, for AFR it is a true plug and play device. That's all I use mine for - I just leave it set on AFR to keep an eye on AFR's...

It's nice to have it in place, if your car is modified or tuned, so that you can see where your AFR's are at WOT.

How does this (if at all) differ from a ScanGauge?

As far as I know, the scangauge does not offer most of the features of the Brockway DGauge or provide OBD2 data includuing AFR's, ECT, EOT, IAT, etc. nor does it accept the additional optional external sensors. It's mainly a MPG calculator and CEL reader - I don't believe they are comparable at all.

Sorry, meant Scangauge II. Should have been more specific.

I'm not familiar with the scangaugeII, as I have never used one. In looking briefly at the link you supplied, I could not find any information regarding dual bank AFR capability, which is one of the main reasons people with modified cars buy the Brockway.

I am also told the scangauge does not have the external inputs that the brockway offers, does not offer a shift light option and has a very slow refresh rate, which means that it doesn't really work very effectively as a realtime gauge. These are some areas I would investigate and compare if you are considering both units.

EGT can be added to read, but it would have to be achieved by installing the optional EGT sensor.

Below are the real time OBD2 parameters it reads without any of the optional external sensors:

997

CLV (Calculated Load Value) %
ALV (Absolute Load Value) %
ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) °F or °C
STF (Short Term Fuel Trim) %
LTF (Long Term Fuel Trim) %
RPM (Engine RPM)
VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) mph or km/h
IGN (Ignition Timing) °
IAT (Intake Air Temperature) °F or °C
MAF (Mass Air Flow) g/s
TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) %
AFR (A/F Ratio) (Bank1 and Bank2)
BAT (Battery Voltage) v
AAT (Ambient Air Temperature) °F or °C
GR (Gear Position) 1,2,3,4,5,6
