Cam Shafts

Keeping in mind I want to maintain a reasonable amount of driveability I am seeking a mfg of very high quality cam shafts for my 3.8Ltr GT2. I miss the rumble I grew to love and the power to boot it provided. I base this on my C6 Z06 which was dynoed on a Mustang at 900WHP+ and 850+ FT#. I was somewhat limited on the design as my power adder, a D1SC Cetri blower. Not completely knowledgeable of the limitations related to cams and turbos. I dont want an extreme amount of surging but defintely a noticable amount of extra power to make it wort the inventment.

I dont see much talk of Cams on the site so I may hit a dead -end but willing to listen, learn, and consider the pros and cons.

Are they an OEM grind (design) or different?

Any Others? Maybe mfg in Europe?

I looked at Mahle and it seems they have some offerings but I find it too difficult to figure out. Hell I dont even know the specs on the std GT2 camshaft.

racing 97 is infamous around these parts
Here is the OEM profile the duration is probably not correct as the Oem lifter is radiused and the test fixture lifter is square that would reduce the duration 10 degrees or so.
I think it would be a good idea for any one purchasing a cam to at least be provided with the open/close L/C and lift data. I find terms such as harmonic disturbance or distortion misleading. Remember that the inlet centrline changes from retard to advance from 95 to 110 in the ECU so that moves open/close with it.

Reason is that with a factory turbo car you can usually add power substantially without going internal. Especially with the M64.

The Vette being N/A LS7 to make more power you have to do intake/exhaust/cam/dyno tune. Then you can add a power adder like your Procharger and swap to a blower cam and retune, ect.

How come you didn't do an F1 on the Z06? I ran a Vortech on my GTO then went to a TVS2300. She ran 9.70s with that and a little spray to cool things off. 10.10s-10.20s blower only.
