Post TTS vs ZR1?

Hello guys.. i do want to know what can a 997 Turbo S do toward a Corvette ZR1? From stand still race and rolling..

I had a Lingenfelter ZR1 (750 BHP) and there is no possibility in the 1st 100 MPH it could catch a Turbo S. However, beyond the 100 MPH you better look in front of you.

I know it's MotorTrend, but at least it's a comparo. Regular turbos, but S's should just be....well....faster.

The Vette is so raw and fast.... tried for a long time to talk myself into it, but in the end just too unrefined and no jump seats for the kids. I would echo the above post. ZR1 would be better compared to the GT2RS. Of course there is the big price diff, but that argument will go on for eternity. Those who can afford Bugatti's will get them and those who cannot will modify GTR's and Mustangs, then shout about it until their lungs fail.

..... suspension, tune, exhaust and the Turbo would kill the ZR1 on a track.... there I go Mod'ed vs stock. Both are great and maybe we alll be lucky enough to own both some day

But then again, a pulley, exhaust, cam, and tune and the ZR1 is making retarded power. It is also lighter. The seats blow though . . .

There is no doubt that the TTS with PDK launch control will rope it from a dig but once rolling the ZR1 will make the ground back up.

Dont forget a great set of shoes, some suspension changes, and it will run with about any car on the track...it may not beat um but it will run with them.

No joke on the ZR1. But from a dig the Turbo, GTR and Veyron are in a sep league. This is where most of the street hooliganism occurs

The zr1 will sound so much better to, especially with a cam! The mods for the zr1 will be a lot cheaper as well...Only down fall is the interior...

Nice vids bonehead-

I think the ZR1 is a bit overkill, with globs of power on such a light body the car is really squirmy in everyday driving; buddy of mine had both a ZR1 and Z06 and the Z06s are typically more then enough car for the street. Actually his bolt on Zo was very close to my modded turbo,which at the time making close to 600whp(way more now)

Vette's are a bargain, your also missing a lot of practicality... Im thinking of pulling the trigger on a slightly used Zo just to stomp it around every now and then..

Can a choice be get the TTs and also a Z06? Haha good luck

The Vette seats are easily upgraded (as can the ENTIRE interior) by Caravaggio Corvettes. Look at my "garage" and then the seats. They are about 5K a pair. Excellent quality and VERY comfy.

True. A nice set of seats would set the interior off!

Everything can be upgraded/modified. Love driving vette's too.... there is just something the P-car has that I overall like better. Hate the sound of the Turbo though.... even upgraded they don't sound as nice as a V8/10/12

GM needs to revamp the front end and interior of the ZR1 just for starters--- butt ugly. Not to mention Porsche is at a completely different tier of build quality as well as a much more refined car.
