Need your help

I have ordered new cars in the past but they were all BMW Ms. The tracking process was very simple and I was able to track my vehicle getting on its ship and track the ship across the atlantic ocean. My latest vehicle order is a 2012 911 TURBO S. I was told the car finished production on 12/3. NOW WHAT DO I DO? When should I expect it? Help!!!

Also in the meantime...anyone with a guards red turbo or turbo s...please post pictures for me to ease my anxiety!!!!!

Have you asked your dealer? Try a forum search since others before you have tracked their vehicles - thee are folks here who can tell you how to do it.

Your dealer can give you the vessel name, then follow it at:

You should ask your dealer. My car finished very close to the same time as yours, and my dealer wasn't able to receive ship information until the boat hit the mid-atlantic a couple days ago. Now I've been tracking it on marinetraffic like a madman. I feel your pain. : )

My vessel drops my car off in San Diego for transport up to Northern California, they expect the ship to dock on the 26th and be ready here some time after that. I ordered my car back in September for an October build, but it took a while to work its way through the Exclusive dept.

What color is your interior?

Surprised Porsche doesn't offer more effective tracking. The wife's Mini Cooper S was a neat process. We were able to make LAST MINUTE changes to the car as it was being built, was updated as each major activity was completed in the build, and had accurate tracking available to us 'till the time it hit the dealer lot.

FWIW, she took delivery of the very first 2008 Cooper S in North America (this was the first one with turbo vs. SC). They took pics and all

I also wanted to track my car from factory to dealer. My dealer was not helpful at all. I contacted Bumper Plugs, http://www.bumperplugs.com/
board sponsor, gave him the VIN and production completion date and he provided the ship name.
My car completed production on September 28th and shipped sailed on October 7th. It arrived in Rhode Island on the 25th and was delivered to the dealer on Oct. 31st. I picketed it up on November 2nd.
Once you get the ship name it is fun to watch it heading to the port.

I also have the Guards Red exterior.

Ok great. Dealer has been helpful. I have Vin just no ship yet. I guess it was pretty silly to order a Porsche for December delivery in the northeast. Once it gets here I can't even drive it

Off season is typically the best time to buy and get a deal. Did you get a deal?

My new CR is on the way from the port to the dealership. I tried all the tracking sites. It was seen leaving the Channel and then reported as X days since then. Interestingly, it was never reflected as in the Port of Brunswick Ga and this morning it now shows in the Atlantic heading back tgo Europe. Good thing my dealer stayed on top of the status through Porsche. Still a disappointing experience compared to a Mini S I had built a few years back. What a great experience. You knew every step of the way where it was even what was happening once it hit port.

As others have said, your dealer can find the ship name and you can track it.

Here is mine coming through the Panama Canal and in the port (bottom middle)
