Battery Replacement Advice
My 2007 997.1 Turbo needs a new battery.
If I replace it myself, do I need the Porsche dealer to reset anything? Car is bone stock. Any unique issues to the battery replacement?
Fellow owners spoke highly of the Walmart Battery MAXX-94R for $80. Any other suggestions? If so, please provide make and model #. Thanks for your advice on this

Interstate
Just replaces mine. My shop recommends Interstate. I think the model is 930 ( not sure) . I paid 134 dollars including installation etc . This battery has the little tube as required by Porsche to evacuate the fumes. It has 48 months pro-rata warranty.

Thanks for all the advice. Ended up getting an Interstate battery,
#MTP-94R, came with a 85 month warranty and cost $160. The Walmart battery was $110 but only had a 36 month warranty so it made sense to get the Interstate. It is the exact same size and had the venting hole for the Porsche OEM vent tube that was connected to the stock battery I took out.
Be aware of the order of removing the old battery and connecting the new battery to avoid frying your electronics! When removing the old battery, remove negative cable first, then then positive cable second. When connecting the new battery, it is the opposite-connect the positive cable first and then the negative cable. On my 2007 997.1, the positive cable was marked with red and it was on the left side of the battery as you look at the installed battery head on. The negative cable was on the right side as you look at the installed battery head on.
I was amazed that I didn't need to reset anything...the PSM failure light came on but went away after 3 minutes of driving. All my radio stations and pre-set memory seats were OK too. I did have a battery tender in the cig lighter while I was doing everything so maybe that saved some information, don't know.
