Hi guys, I'm new on this forum.

I'd like to ask why this 2008 997.1 Turbo has the newer 997.2 interior but is still a tiptronic (not PDK).

Is this a common thing ? This is the first car I've seen around where I'm from that has this
interior as the other 2008 models I've seen have the older 997.1 interior.

 

It would have to be a 2009 specifically. Possible typo on the online listing.

 

Hello, yes it is specific to 2009 models.
Mine is a turbo 997 in December 2008 and therefore the PCM 2009.

The dealer said this car is manufactured late 2008.
The asking price for this car is a little on the high
side because it doesn't have PCCB but has the
the newer interior.

Can't afford a PDK 997.2 TT as they're are going for Rm880k (USD$ 260k)

 

Buy it... Porsche used their new PCM technology with their proven 3.6 motor only that year; I would say that is a rare 997.1

 

I heard that 997.2 doesnt uses the GT1 block engine. Do you think is less reliable?

 

the 2009 IS a Gt1 block, the last made, and it combines that with the newer interior and PCM. Best of all worlds? No PDK though, just tiptronic for 2009.

 

The last made Gt1 block is in the GT2 RS. What an engine!
