Power potential of a 997.1TT with bolt on parts...
He does daily the car but not far. He would mainly put it on E85 when hes knows hes going to run it hard so map changing via a laptop would not be an issue
Down the road he plans on intercoolers and Y pipe but just cant do it yet

not for me.. bros got a 997T and he is thinking of going to do a VTG upgrade. (only current mod is turbo back straight pipe and tune) Im pushing him to tune it with E85 and 93 if that's possible. I know my car has multiple maps i can run depending on fuel but im not familiar with the porsche tuning.

I have to agree with Tiago on this one Lou. In our experience, a stock 480 Crank HP turbo will put down about 420-430 at the wheels, depending on the type of dyno used. With a good exhaust system and ECU flash, you would see approximately 70-80 hp at the wheels increase, which puts you around 500 at the wheels.
From there, intercoolers, y-pipes, larger TB and plenum will yield nominal increases in power and definite improvements in consistency, but nothing close to 600 at the wheels, I just don't think that's possible.
Our 65mm Billet VTG's, which are probably the largest flowing 65mm VTG's out there, will yield 600 at the wheels on pump gas, a little more on race fuel. To get that without turbos is just not possible. The stock turbos just can't possibly flow that much.

How about an Aquamist Meth system
; since were talking modded VTGs that are off the shelf- essentially a bolt on.
Just depends how far you want to go..- CMS offers a 68mm VTG kit is rated @495hp per turbo and with enough fueling your quickly at the limit of this motor

Todd gives you 93Oct tune and a E85 tune, you need to flash to tune based on fuel being used.
Your correct I mis read his post. I was thinking fuel sensing maps
Ed.. if he wants to go this route, i will give u a call to discuss
Hello Gents... I am wondering what a 997.1TT is capable of with bolt on parts without changing the turbos or any involving modifications.
For instance, I am looking for what can this car do with the following parts:
- Exhaust
- Tune
- Headers
- Intake
- Other minor things that can increase the power potential without breaking the bank.
Please pardon me if this topic has been discussed many many times before ... I searched and didn't come across the information I am looking for.
Thank you much in advance for your information.
