PCM3 wiring harness
PCM3 wiring harness
I'm trying to upgrade my 2007 997 Turbo pcm2 to a new pcm3. I have the new dash unit and a new Bose amp. I recently purchased what was advertised as OEM PCM3 wiring harness. The plugs on either end do not fit the new equipment. Has anyone else been successful at modifying their car?
I hate every aftermarket unit I've seen... Spoiled I guess, but I want what I want. Seeking advice please...

Thanks! If I figure it out I'll let everyone know. I don't think anything is impossible if you throw enough money at it... Good thing is there are enough removed units around that they can be purchased on Ebay for less than half of what Porsche charges. If I can do this for less than 5 grand I'll have exactly what...
Cheers!

Hi Joe!

While he is not doing exactly what you want, we may be able to help.
I don't know if you are going to need to have the PCM 3 programmed to your VIN number and after that, there is the color mis-mach from your old PCM 2.1 to the new black PCM 3 and the AC controls and button panel. I'm interested as well on what you come up with.
good luck!

Thanks Joel... I'll contact this guy and see what we can work out... I've already determined I can have the remainder of the console disassembled and painted.
