The OEM battery is a POS.

Buy a Walmart MAXX 94R - $77, perfect fit and a better warranty than Porsche.

Search the forum and you'll find lots of posts on the wallmart battery.

Edit: Just noticed the OP is not in the US, perhaps you can order off the Internet.

I have allways had good results with the Odyssey PC925. Its smaller than OEM so you'll need to address mounting. rennline.com has a nice solution.

The Wal-Mart MAXX 94R (it's the 94 not the 49) is a good battery - probably closer to $110 now but still better than OEM. Interstate has a comparable battery with a better warranty - can't remember the number though. Wal-Mart warranty is 36 month replacement - Interstate warranty is 36 month replacement, and pro-rata after up to 84 or 85 months. Johnson Controls makes most if not all the auto batteries in the US just branded and distributed by Interstate, Wal-Mart, Auto Zone, etc.

Ken, where'd you get that cost? Someone must have messed up. The cost of the OE battery from the dealership is $261.

I just replaced my factory battery with the lightweight Braille street battery. Saves almost 40 lbs and has 700+ cranking amps to boot.
