Deviating Stitch

I have a 12' C2S. I have a 12' 997TT on order. It finished production yesterday. It was ordered originally by the dealership for inventory. It has a ton of deviating stitch options. I am wondering what they could be, as it seems almost all turbos have white stitch on a black interior. My car is white with black interior. Would it say on the order sheet what color the stitch deviates to? Is black stitch the standard color?

The standard stitch is silver on the black leather, so deviating will give you something other than silver. There are six Z-Options that are usually ordered for stitching: 24891, 24901, 24902, 24903, 24904, and 24905. I hope they ordered an Exclusive handbrake (ordercode CFP, etc), or you should expect mismatched stitching. It should tell you on the order sheet what the stitch is set to, or at the very least, the dealer should definitely know.

Possibly this has changed for 2012 but you used to have to also order 09991 to get stitching on any exclusive items you ordered. Again, I don't have the current order guide so maybe this has changed. Check your dealer although my experience has been many dealers screw this up. This is my wife's Turbo S with black interior and white stitching.

the dealer did 09991, but did not do the handbrake. I will keep that one in my backpocket. I like the red stitch, because the white and silver are so close in appearance. The red (I feel) makes more of a statement than white, especially considering what a ripoff this option is. Where is the switch trim strip? This was ordered in exterior color.

It is the strip that runs horizontally across the car just above the glove compartment. In clay5523s car it is silver and in the picture of my wife's it is carbon fiber.

As long as your dealer ordered an exclusive handbrake option (usually starts with X--) 09991 will deviate the stitching. I think a lot of the dealers are finally figuring this out so I hope they got it correct for you.

I have a bunch of yellow stitching in my car, which is linked in my signature. Having seen them each in person, I really like white, yellow or red stitching in a white car.
